About the Artist

Woong Kim, born in 1944, has traversed a remarkable journey from his native Korea to the vibrant art scene of New York. After relocating in 1970, he completed his education at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) and the Yale University School of Art. His tenure at SVA from 1979 to 1987 marked him as the first Korean to serve as a professor there.
