In Seung-Hyun Lee's landscapes, the prominence of the sky has grown. The majority of the space is dominated by shades of blue, complemented by various other colors that add depth. This persistent longing drives humanity to advance through art or science. Compared to the events we experience within specific coordinates in time, the history of the universe is immense. Our time on Earth is exceedingly brief compared to the lifespan of stars. When efforts to bridge relative and absolute distances meet imagination, what will the unknown space create? Even if briefly, the hope for expanded distances on a flat surface arises. The artist subtly incorporates a figure they wish to meet someday, thinking of them as they gently paint.
