밧데리든 커패시터든 전기를 저장하는 공간이 있어야 시계가 작동하고,
그 공간의 용량과 성능은 충전과 방전이 계속될수록 점점 감소하긴 합니다. 그래도 10년보다는 더 갈겁니다. (1차전지 들어간 카시오도 10 years battery라고 찍혀나오는거 많죠) 시티즌피셜이지만, 20년이 지나도 원래 용량의 80%를 가지고 있다네요. |

에코드라이브 cb- 시리즈 16년 상반기에 샀으니 거의 6년 썼는데요
한 3년차 쯤? 2~3일 정도 음지에 두니까 방전되더라구요. 이게 한번 방전되고 났더니 수명이 엄청 준게 체감됩니다.
근데 데일리로 차실거면 10년은 거뜬하다고 생각합니다. |

Q. How long will the energy storage cell last in my watch?
A. The rechargeble cell featured in Eco Drive watches is a highly specialized unit. Many times, it is incorrectly referred to as a “capacitor”. This cell will last up to 40 years. Certainly charge capacity will diminish overtime, but even after 20 years, these specialized cells are rated to retain 80% of their original capacity. It is highly unusual for these cells to fail. Most commonly, if an Eco Drive is stopping it is more indicative of a low charge. If it is running slow, it may indicate it is time to have the movement serviced.
